FAQ

Artificial Grass FAQ

We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions about artificial grass to ensure you have all the information you need:

What is your grass made of?

The grass from TigerTurf that we install is made from lightweight and durable thermoplastic. It ensures your artificial grass looks and feels as realistic as possible.

Made in the U.S., this grass is formulated with UV light resistance, keeping it cool and preserving each blade’s shape, texture, and color.

Where can I buy artificial turf from?

You can buy artificial turf through Quality Turf AZ. Start by booking an appointment for a cost estimate for your residential, pet-friendly, or putting green turfs. Call us at (602) 675-3474 or send us a quick email at sales@qualityturfaz.com.

How long with the turf last?

With the turf’s special cooling technology and water drainage mechanism, you can expect your artificial grass to look as good as new for years to come. We offer a 10-year warranty on the quality of your turf, which is trusted by millions of homeowners around the globe.

Will driving over the turf damage it?

To ensure longevity, we don’t recommend you drive over or park heavy vehicles on the turf, as this could disfigure the fibers of the grass blades. Instead, we recommend laying pieces of plywood or a concrete path through the turf to drive over.

Is the grass safe for the environment?

Natural grass requires regular watering in large quantities, which easily adds up over the years. Artificial turf, on the other hand, doesn’t need any water.

Also, since a single installation can last you over 10 years, you won’t be producing as much plastic waste compared to lower-quality alternatives.

How much maintenance does artificial grass need?

Our highly skilled turf installation technicians take care of all the work for you. The highly innovative backing mechanism allows for quick water drainage, and we use nearly double the amount of infill compared to our competitors. That way, you won’t have to replace the infill or fluff up the grass as often.

As for installation, we nail down the seams at every inch instead of using tape, which you’d need to replace frequently. You also won’t have to worry about weeds, as we use heavy lawn fabric to stop them from growing through the turf in the first place.

Is the grass safe for kids and pets?

With the Pet Turf option, we use Envirofill instead of standard infills. Since antimicrobial protection is infused into Envirofill, it prevents bacteria and microbes from growing. That makes the artificial Pet Turf entirely safe for pets and young children.

Will sun exposure fade the turf’s color?

TigerTurf artificial grass is formulated with UV light stabilizers and inhibitors. This ensures the grass stays as green as it was the day you bought it — even under the scorching Arizona summer sun.

Can I install the turf myself?

Technically, you can install artificial turf yourself. However, the task can be a bit tricky for someone with limited experience.

Our installers have over 30 years of combined experience in turf installation and general landscaping. We’re familiar with industry standards of turf installation and make sure to always go above and beyond.

Is the grass glued permanently to the ground?

We don’t believe that glue and tape are sufficient for holding down the turf for the promised 10 years. That’s why we nail down the turf’s seams at every inch.

Our Quality Customers!

We love our new grassy yard! The crew at Quality Turf did an AMAZING job. It feels so good to look outside and see green instead of our previous dirt patch. Thanks so much for making our yard livable!

We hired Quality Turf based on a recommendation from a friend. We were really impressed by the level of service they provided. They communicated well and did an outstanding job all the way around.

Thank you QT! I have 3 Pomeranians. I wanted to provide them with an area that was easy on their paws. I also preferred turf due to the fact that the pups would get wet after watering the lawn.
